Ms. Corporate America – Maryland Competition to Honor Women in Leadership and Community Impact
EMMY-nominated television host Tiffany “Lady T” Watson to serve as Master of Ceremonies; Community Impact and Civic Leadership Awards to recognize policy and development contributions in Maryland.
BOWIE, MD. February 16, 2026 –The Ms. Corporate America Maryland Competition will convene accomplished women from across the state for an evening recognizing professional excellence, leadership, and measurable community impact.
The March 2026 competition brings together executives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, military professionals, and civic advocates who exemplify distinction within their respective fields. Participants are evaluated on leadership presence, communication, advocacy, and professional achievement, with one woman advancing to represent Maryland at the national level.
The evening will be hosted by EMMY-nominated FOX45 television personality Tiffany 'Lady T' Watson, known for spotlighting community leaders and stories of regional impact.
As part of the program, the organization will present the Community Impact Award to Carmen Thompson, recognizing her advocacy efforts that contributed to the passage of DaCara Rose’ Law. The legislation strengthens public education surrounding missing persons reporting and expands support resources for families across Maryland. The recognition honors her commitment to civic engagement and meaningful policy advancement.
The evening will also include presentation of the Crown of Community Leadership Award to Wala Blegay, Vice Chair of the Prince George’s County Council. This award recognizes her continued efforts to advance quality development initiatives and community-focused progress within Prince George’s County. The honor reflects leadership dedicated to strengthening infrastructure, economic growth, and sustainable advancement across the region.
“Ms. Corporate America Maryland celebrates women whose leadership extends beyond professional achievement and into tangible community impact,” said Dr. Alethia Tucker, President of Ms. Corporate America Maryland. “This evening highlights women who are shaping Maryland’s future through service, advocacy, and civic leadership.”
The competition will convene business leaders, elected officials, sponsors, and community stakeholders for a professionally produced evening centered on leadership, service, and representation.
